It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s….. a cube? Okay, maybe that was cheesy, and now I hate myself.
Since an August update, a cube has been seen flying over the island in Fortnite Battle Royale causing all sorts of trouble seemingly without much of a purpose other than being mysterious. Since its first appearance it’s caused anti gravitational issues all around the island, killed a few players mercilessly and has destroyed approximately one building. It’s destruction record, in other words, is rather unimpressive in a game where the map changes constantly and 99 people die in every match anyway.. At some point within the last 24 hours the cube has hurtled itself into Loot Lake, causing it to turn bright purple and glossing it over with a sheen of some sort of bouncy substance.

Fortnite Battle Royale’s highly anticipated Season 6 releases next week and it’s time we got some answers concerning the mischievous cube and what changes we can expect to come from the game because of it. Maybe we can expect more bouncy areas to appear across the map? Until next week at least, enjoy the bouncy pad and use it to your advantage in-game!
